Tools section.
Yeah great idea. Anyone got a fully equipped garage they don't need for a few years. I've got a few spanners but need hoist, welder,
valve spring compressor, very large hammer etc. etc.

Sounds a great idea.
Even if not to loan, a data base of where to buy/hire at least cost would be a great help to most of us I would think. Especially those like me, with
little knowledge of the motor industry.
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

Box and Pan Folder
I too think a Tools section would be a good thing to have being of interest to everyone. Much time is spent locating good value for money and by
pooling our knowledge base, much time and, hopefully, money can be saved.
I recently bought a 48 inch box and pan folder for just over £500. I am really pleased with it. It is rated for 18swg mild steel and 14swg aluminium
with thicker gauges being possible for shorter lengths.
If anyone is interested, i can let you know where I bought it from.

I think it's a great idea. A tools section could save the money conscious quite a bit of time as well as money. Excellent

Yeah,go for it. My bro's got a lathe and milling machine, which he uses to do jobs for the vintage bike boys,im sure he would be up for doing
jobs for locosts,in return for a few drinking vouchers.
I've got a set of combination hammers always found you couldn't beat a good clout
Flat out til you see God, then BRAKE!

I think its a great idea.
I also think that a 'tools pool' facility would be great, like car pooling.
Ive mentioned it a few times in a few places, but havnt had chance to set it up myself yet.
Basicaly like car pools for car sharing, a website where people (members) can detail the equipement they have, location, avilablity, etc. And you can
go on an search for who in your area has what your after.
Obviously you wouldnt bother for screwdrivers. But im talking about hydrulic pullers, welders, engine craines, trailers, towcars, towcar drivers
even.
The idea was born out of the concept for a self recovery service, made up of amatures around the country with the tools (and trailers) to do the
job.
- This is after the tintop (no breakdown cover) nearly broke down in bristol, and which point i come to the conclusion if it did die my best bet
would be geting my uncal (worcester) to come out with his trailer and drag in home (cheshire).
