Waterjet cutting

Today the postman brought the axleplates for my project bike and I thought some on here might be interested.

I did a CAD drawing and sent it off to andyw7de at Waterjet Scotland Ltd http://www.waterjetscotland.co.uk/index.html he got his draughtsman to tidy it up and then they were waterjet cut out of 10mm thick steel.

The edges of the cut are very neat and of course there is no heat affected zone.

I'm dead chuffed with the result.

Thanks Andy

Neil

Brilliant innit, I had some stainless steel plates cut out for my handbrake and exhaust surrounds. While I was there they showed me a 40mm thick plate which was over 2mtrs long and 1.5mtrs wide that they were cutting out for an art project in London. Even at those dimensions the cut was perfectly smooth and required little dressing, however it did take several days to complete.

I'm another satified customer of Andy in Scotland. He did me some badges and they turned out really well.

I'd definately use his services again.
