Sykes Flaremaster Help pleeeeeeease
I have saved for ages to buy a good brake flaring tool.
My all new and beefed up Sykes Flaremaster 2 was waiting for me when I got home
It looks like the bloody thing is faulty
When winding the handle in it only goes in a few threads before binding. Its like the rams not threaded down as far as it should be.
Anybody elts come across this or can think If am dooing something wrong.
cheers

I've looked at these but never used one, the ram works on hydraulics doesn't it, do you need to top it up or something? The ram is a
coarse thread for easy assembly, have you tried it on a pipe yet?

yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Make sure the end of the pipe is prepared correctly and that the die is going into the pipe , not always as obvious as it seems . The original
Flaremaster was a bit weak and have known a few breakages on them , also they didn't really like steel pipes. Hope the Flaremaster2 is better.
