brake caliper paint as VHT substitute?
Hi Guys,
My rush is going to have a bright yellow/ black colour scheme and I wanted to keep this going in the engine bay with a black block and yellow head
(with a polished ally L-plate) on my redtop.
I have a bucket of bright yellow caliper paint left over from when I painted my brakes. Can I just paint the head in this? Surely the brakes get
pretty hot?

Rocker cover doesn't get all that hot, almost any old paint wiil do. Brake calipers will certainly be hotter so your paint will be fine

I used spray Plastikote paint from B&Q for mine - no sign of it breaking down after several years. The rocker cover on my x-flow only gets warm
to the touch after a run.
