whats difference between a touch up spray gun and a "normal" one?
Apart from the obvious. Touch up guns have 0.8 or 1mm apertures. Normal have 1.4, 1.7 and 2.0mm apertures. Is it just that you get a smaller
"beam" of paint with the smaller apertures, or are there other differences?

the size of the paint pot, you would be forever filling up if you tried to spray a car or a panel the pot will probaly hold 100-200 ml

They work well on chassis as you can spray a narrow path and not loose great amounts of paint in the air. General purpose for sprucing up engine
compartments on resale cars.

yep - very much as you say. size really.
smaller reservoir, smaller nozzle resulting in smaller patch of spray.
dead handly when you want to paint small parts - you can pick them up for a tenner at car shows and probably internet.

Loads on ebay, mine was only a few quid I found it very handy -- holds just about enough paint to paint a tin top door.
I don't use mine anymore --- a HVLP gives so much less over spray and uses much less paint.
