diff ratio
sierra diff ratios i found the list that someone posted on here i still cant make out any numbers on my diff .
if i take off the fiff cover is it stamped on the crown wheel ??

I found the ratio written on the outer edge of the crownwheel of the last Ford diff i opened up. Alternatively, you can count the number of teeth on
the crownwheel and pinion if you have the rear cover off. Simple division will then give you the ratio

turn prop flange and count how many times driveshaft flange turns per one turn of prop flange...hey presto

Degree marker of some kind will give you a more accurate reading. Obviously

Other way round though, turn the driveshafts one rotation and the number of rotations of the input will give you the ratio. Do 10 turns if you want to
be really accurate.
