Sticking alloy together?
Is it possible to weld cast alloy (say an inlet manifold) to alloy tube and it stick?
How easy is it?
Will i just end up with my feet covered in molten alloy?

You might be better off friction stick welding it (Technoweld type stuff). Welding alloy isn't so easy even if it's pretty pure stuff....

It should TIG up without a problem, the cast is probally very poor grade so just check its not porus afterwards.
There used to be plenty of modified manifolds for 3litre fords and V8 rovers where they just cut off the weber/SU mountings and welded on a plate to
accept a holly.

Should be pretty easy if you use something like durafix or alutight/al75.
Mig welding alloy is possible but its tricky, if you dont already have a setup ready for welding alloy, the duraweld sticks are well worth a go.

You could try Bruce at BB Customs on the Ferndown industrial estate if you want it TIG-ing.
