Borrow: M12 1.25 Tap

Is there any body that would be able to lend me a M12 1.25 pitch tap before I spend £10 on the bay? Only need to use it once as I need to make an adaptor for my motorcycle colortune which I now find out are different to the normal colortune which are M14 and so the adaptors I've just bought don't fit Even though I checked with Toolbay first

Why does it seem that sales people don't seem to know their products as well as they used to??

Cheers

Rich
