Torx sockets

Morning all,

I need some Torx bolts to carry on with an engine strip - can you advise on what's a good range to go for ? Both the male and female connection types ?

Engine is a 92 Ford Zetec 1.8

thanks
Paul

25-55 is the norm.zetec is 55, for the haed bolts .you rarely need 60s and 70's.up to you what drive you buy,3/4 prpb but depends what torque wrench you have.

Will go with Halfords every time, keep your reciept though for the guarantee. They are made by a company called Teng, who make some of the best tools in the world, they even make them for snap on.

Hi Marc,

I've heard this too (about the Halford/Teng thing rather than the Snap-on Teng thing) I was wondering if you'd seen it documented anywhere?

I'd love to know if the Halfords stuff I've been buying alongside Teng actually *is* Teng or is it just a cunning rumour Halfords have spread?

Cheers,
James
