Birthday coming up, Ideas for tools?

Its my birthday on the 22nd and my folks have asked what I'd like for a present, I have all the usual:
socket set,
axle stands and jack,
decent screwdriver set
welder

Can anyone think of any tools useful to someone starting a build?

Cheers!

air riveter, £20-£30! (if you have a compressor that is) if not, get a compressor and then an air riveter

Lots of 3/8 and 5/8 drill bits!

Firstly, good choice of birthdays; mine's the 22nd of this month too!

I know for a fact that B&Q have got a sale on at the moment, and they've got a promo on a few DeWalt bits. I dropped hints to SWMBO that there's an 18V cordless drill complete with 2 batteries, charger and hard case up for £99.99, almost half price.

You'll defo need one, and it's a good brand to have. I'll let you know if I get one in 3 weeks time....

Get her to buy a set of

axle stands and jack 2 ton ones

If she buys something else like a socket set and it is not of good quality it will break.

wow, it's my birthday on the 22nd too

i'm wondering if i could get swmbo and my m&d to put together and buy me a low entry jack but it's ~£200.....

for little extra bits, a deburring tool is incredibly useful, steel rule, tap and die set, step drill, rotary burr......stuff like that

Forget the 22nd and 27th.
the main event is the 1st of october.

Like the rest of us you are the result of
a drunken new years bunk up.

drill bits, de-burring tool, rivnut tool, spring loaded
centre punch, metal snips, bahco 12" hack saw.

air riveter, £20-£30! – Sounds good but Im planning on using VHB tape and a minimum number of rivets.

Lots of 3/8 and 5/8 drill bits! – as above

Dremel? – I bought dad one a couple of years back and we tend to share tools

Grinder, jigsaw? – got both, but a spare grinder never goes amiss!

18V cordless drill complete with 2 batteries, charger and hard case up for £99.99, almost half price. – got a nice Makita 18v one from a couple of birthdays ago.

Torque Wrench – Got a goot britool half drive one and teng quarter drive.

Grinder or two (no swapping discs), good socket set, couple of spanner sets, torque wrench, breaker bar, hex head socket set, selection of f.o. hammers and drifts... – Drifts are a good shout!

Build stands , multimeter – got a good meter and dad has a better one as an electrician Not sure what everyone uses as build stands? I was going to leave the chassis on the build table unless that wont work?

pipe flaring thingy - scored a good industrial brake flarer couple of years back.

wire stripper/crimper doodah - good shout, which ones are the best? I have a set of the cheapy ones with the split holes like this:

axle stands and jack 2 ton ones - I have a pair of 1.5 tonne ones but I guess a set of four would be handy! Got tonnes of normal jacks.

Decent set of files - already have most sizes bought individually over the years
Punches and drifts - good shout, link to a decent punch set?

Vernier calliper - got both digital and normal types in steel and plastic

Clecos and pliers – Clecos, forgot about those!! Thats a definite! Pliers I think Im good for

rivnut tool, dont forget one of them. – another damn good shout! Linky to a good one?

12" Lathe??? or Bridgeport milling machine?? – Id LOVE one, and dad and I have spoken about going halves. Stretching things a bit as a present tho!!

Electric engine hoist – Got one of these mounted on the roof!

Radio/mp3 player and a beer fridge – radio is in place, beer fridge I don’t fancy, mum stocks the one in the house I could fancy an old dishwasher tho!

and a laptop and a tv and some Razzle pin ups – Tv is a good call, F1 in the garage

low entry jack – really handy once i get further on in the build and the frame gets heavy.

deburring tool is incredibly useful, steel rule, tap and die set, step drill, rotary burr – what does a deburring tool look like? I normally use a big drill Got a snap on tap and I die set I bought myself after my exams, got stepdrills and burrs too.

cash, ask for cash, buy what you want with it. - I do that far too much and everyone wants to buy someone something

spring loaded centre punch, metal snips, bahco 12" hack saw. – got a sprung punch and metal snips, air and hand powered. Not got a bahco hacksaw but I have a normal one with bahco blades!

Costco do a low-entry for much cheaper - its a decent 3 ton one too...around £65 if I remember - I have 2 of em.....bloody heavy buggers though – good gen, will need to have a look

Thanks for all the suggestions, kinda weird that I always think Im short of things but my garage seems to have most of the useful stuff!!

List so far:
Grinder
Drifts
Build stand
Crimpers
Axle stands
Punches
Clecos
Rivnut tool
Garage Tv
Low entry jack
Deburring tool

Cheers!
