Innovate LM1 Problem
Ok, so i got it out of the box last night and checked it all over. Its all there, cant wait to get it going today.
I plug it into the cars cigarette lighter, and then turn it off after 30s. All good.
Then i plug in the sensor (as per instructions) and it says "Warming up". After the count up to 100%, i get "ERROR 3".
I call Advanced Auto Performance (Ebay shop) for some support, and im waiting to hear back from them, but im nervous now as im not getting that fuzzy
warm feeling that im a valued customer if you know what i mean.
Just needed to share it. Ill let you know what they come back with, but the manual states:
Error 3 Pump
cell circuit shorted
1. Short in cable
2. Short in sensor
3. Sensor heater calibration
incorrect
4. Sensor overheating
5. EGT >1700º F
1. Repair/replace cable.
2. Replace sensor.
3. Perform sensor heater
recalibration.
4. Move your sensor bung as
far downstream as possible
OR add a heatsink to isolate
the sensor from the pipe.

Really pissed that my £200 piece of kit that should help me get on the road this weekend isnt doing what it said on the tin!
Im hoping its a minor problem that can be sorted over the phione.

Probably not the end of the world, i've had that error before with my LC1/XD16. Might be worth recalibrating both the heater and the sensor
again.
I got this a lot when I'd just started the car and it was at idle. I removed it all, plugged it back together, recalibrate, and it's been
fine ever since, so worth a try.

I would agree the lamda sensor is brand new and is bedding in maybe i would try recalibrating.

It wouldnt recalibrate and i couldnt get rid of the ERROR 3 message, even with technical support over the phone. The calibrate button didnt seem to
do anything, even after holding it "For longer than two seconds".
Its in the post and will be back with them tomorrow.
They are going to let me know whats wrong with it, but it looks to me like the sensor or the sensor cable.
I ust hope they dont turn around and accuse me of anything! I followed the instructions to the letter in the quick start guide.
