Rivnut tool spare parts?

Does anyone know where I can get spare parts for a buget type rivnut tool ?
managed to snap my 4mm adaptor piece last night (don't know my own strength!)
and although it's not all that expensive for a whole new tool I would prefer to save a little and replace the part....

By any chance is it the one from Laser? (Should be a piccie below!)

If so, I had the same happen and dropped them an email to ask about buying replacement mandrels. They ended up sending me one in the post free of charge! I've heard that they've done the same for a few others too so could be worth a go!

I emailed Laser directly, as like you I couldn't remeber who I bought it from.

There is an email address for contacts at their web-site.

http://www.lasertools.co.uk/

If you cant find it on there, let me know and I'll have a trawl through my emails and see if I can find the address I used.

Mine broke second time I used it but I couldn't remember where I bought it from so just put it down to poor manufacture. I'll check when I get home and see if its made by the same people and if so contact them as well. Is the new part better made?

There wasn't any noticeable improvement in quality with the replacement but it has lasted a lot longer than the original, although this may be down to me not being so heavy handed with it!

This was my first stop when I broke mine. Unfortunetly the thread is different for from the one used on the Laser Rivnut. Something I didn't find out until I bought 2 as spares!
