What should I do

Just bought a couple of holesaws for notching tubing, long story short, ebay advert says they will cut steel. I recieved them in the post today and the box clearly states they are for non ferous only.

Should I give them a go and see or make a fuss and look elsewhere. Its only 11 quids worth

for 11 quid, i'd give it a shot, if it doens't work, get some proper ones i wouldn't have expected £11 to last very long anyway lol

BUT before leaving feedback, i'd contact the seller saying the box says they're not for steel, but the ad says they were, see what they say, they might be decent and send you another set, and you keep the original ones lol

Personally I'd send them back. Especially holesaws. I had an experience with the same thing, a cheap one on ally that broke up and cut into my hand. It was advertised wrongly and you want your money back p&p included. £11 is £11 better in my pocket. If you'd bought them from the corner shop then they'd have gone back I bet.

Definately not as described, we shouldn't let sellers get away with such, £11 as said is better in your pocket.

This is what they said

"We sell an awful lot of these to local engineering companies, there is a lot of variation in the quality of hole saws and despite them not stating they will cut steel, we have found them to be much better than ones which do.

Try them you'll be pleasantly surprised, if you're not happy we'll refund you"

Can't say fairer than that I suppose.

I'll try them tonight and compare against the starret ones i just ordered. Might even film it
