Compressor
Hi
I am trying to find a distributor who stocks the adapters etc for a compressor I have in 'euro' format as I believe. When I connect my gun
to the compressor, it lost air as it is not a tight fit.
Your help would be kindly received.

Hmmm looks like the ones fitted to my aldi compressor and tools. If no one comes up with a supplier tonight I'll ask in my local paint store for
you tomorrow

Losing air
Can someone advice as to why the spray gun is losing air? Is there something somone might advice. Also, can someone define the type of connections
that my compressor has as I have forgotton the name for this.

ah, these are commonly called PCL connectors.
don't know where you live, but machine mart sell them, as will local tool shops
i never realised til just now on google, there's 2 different type of PCL connectors too, 'industrial' and 'automotive'
industrial seem to be the usual ones
where are you losing the air? from the connector itself, or from any threaded screws on connections?
have all the threads got ptfe tape in them? that will help loads

It is a quick fit type system used as shown in the photo's here. http://s1112.photobucket.com/albums/k489/gregray1/
So in effect, I cannot use PTFE. I wonder if anybody knows if I might be able to use the quick release connector I saw on the website

but did you use any ptfe tape on the thread when you screwed the quick release connector to the spray gun? or the female connector to the air hose?
PCL are very good, and unless you have a faulty one, they just do not leak. i think the leak may be in the threads on the spray gun or air hose.
ah, but wait the female one in your photos doesn't look as deep as the ones i have... wonder if it is 2 different types that just happen to
almost go together?
the female part should look like these

Screw thread
Hello Guys
I have an air line attachment that has a screwing type thread. The hose is a push fit type fitting. Can you let me know if there is an adapter to
allow this to function, with a website/ photo if possible. Thanks...I've looked online but I haven't been able to find this.

I have an impact wrench, and I would like to know which adapter I should use with my compressor. I would prefer to buy from Machine mart or even ebay

Most people use PCL. The one on the left is most common or the one in the centre is
popular. It looks like you have a mixture and you need the same. Put some working links up and we might have more idea of your problem!!!!
This one on th end of your
airline and this one or
the female version on your tool.

Best way is to convert all your tools to one standard fitting. I got mine from machine mart but you may find a set on line cheaper.

The aldi compressor and tools use a little used fitting, it is actually very good but not a normal PCL.. I have found matting parts but can't
remember the supplier (probably ebay shops).
i.e. 5PC AIR LINE END QUICK COUPLER SET COMPRESSOR COUPLING | eBay UK
will fit the hoses i think..
Be very careful if you choose to change the fittings at the compressor end the casting of the outlet manifold is not very strong (don't ask how
I found that out!!)..
I have used "liquid" PTFE on the treads rather than PTFE tape this has worked well so far sealing the threads on the fittings...

as before you seem to currently have a mix of different fittings, you need to have them all the same, the common type are PCL air couplers, buy a
load, and fit them to your hoses and tools
