Taper Drill?

Where can I buy a 7 degree taper drill bit?

Thanks

Tou'll need a tapered reamer as opposed to a drill bit. Most good nut and bolt/ tool suppliers will be able to supply one. Might be quite pricey though and also may not be suitable for use in a normal drill chuck.

Where abouts are you?

If it's for modifying Sierra hub ball joint fitting tapers, then MK can do it for you!

Thinking of making up my own rear hub mounts and wishbones for the sierra hubs..

I could probably find a local engineering firm to taper the holes..

Cheers

Of course there's a slim possibility that they have them in the machine shop at the school where I work...

Best way to save time / effort and mistakes - I had 20 taper bushes made locally for a reasonable price. I gave them a ball joint to ensure they made the tapers just right (enough room left to pull up the nuts without the taper bottoming.

There are pictures of the suspension of my Terrapin (yes Terrapin - not locost!)
suspension in the archives but the wishbones may not clearly show what you want.
Upper fronts are adapted to rose joints.

Nice looking A-series.

I wish the A-series which is gonna be going into my Freestyle looked half as good as that!
