don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I got a SIP one from Halfords of all places, for about £53 quid with a trade card (£59.99 without I think). Got it cause I didn't have time to wait for one to arrive online, but it's been faultless, and if anything ever goes wrong I'll just take it back! It's not a pro mask, but for DIY it's got everything I need.

Make sure it's the higher spec one (check which box is ticked on the packaging) which has rechargeable batteries and better repsonse time.

I have just this minute come back from JTF in preston (but there are other branches).

Their have an autodarkening welding helmet similar to mine for a mere £19.95 (all their prices are +vat)

Link to JTF's latest mailer

Well cheap!

Just noticed you are quite some distance from them - I don't mind getting you one and posting it if it is going to save you some pennies, Blake.
