Trolley jacks
The seals on my Sealey 2 ton trolley jack have given out after 2 years of intensive use (up & down more often than Jordan's knickers  ) and
it's going to cost more to get it serviced than buy a new one.
Any recommendations for a replacement?
I've lived a life that's full.
I've traveled each and ev'ry highway.
But more, much more than this,
I did it side-ah-ways.

Halfords and Machine Mart do nice little 2 ton jacks. Mines been going a good number of years now (halfords)

I've got one of the halfords ones, had it about a year and no trouble yet. I got it in a package with 2 axle stands, think the whole lot came to
30 or 40 quid

hey up mate
i had the same problems with my sealey jack (think its a 3 or 4 tone jack) it was out of warrity, i spoke to the guys i got it off (local motor
factor) who happily sent it back for me and i got a new one, didnt cost me a penny!!
gota be worth a try!!

I always thought this was a good idea. It's a 2 tonne
"Quick Lift" Trolley Jack from Machine Mart. Quite cheap too.
A bit of slapstick never hurt anyone.

The quick lift ones dont tend to last as long. Guess they wear out quicker

I had a Bradbury 1.5 ton trolley jack that was in daily use for over 20 years until someone borrowed it . managed to pick up a secondhand one at a
garage closing sale as they are no longer made may be worth checking with s/h garage equipment suppliers. Even if you have to repair one they are the
rolls royce of trolley jacks and will last you a lifetime. Rusty

Mine was sagging a while back...
Trolley jack I mean. I thought it was shot but I put some fresh drybolic oil in it and its been good ever since. It leaks a bit past the seals but it
doesn't drop gradually like it was doing.

Mine only goes up so far and then stops, no matter how much you pump it  !
Oil leaking from all the seals, bit rubbish really.
I was looking at the Clarke jacks in machine mart, not bad for 17 quid!
Will have a look round E-bay for a Bradbury, Rusty, but I need to replace the old one soon.
Unfortunately the guys at the shop said it'd cost more than a new one to service and didn't offer me a replacement .

My last halfords jack lasted 15 years of regular use so I simply bought two more.
