Torq sizes help please
Can anyone confirm the torq to remove the sierra drive shafts is a T40

That size required is angle grinder.

Can't remember the size, but can remember snapping a few, and resorting to what britishtrident mentions.

Grinder will be a bit tight to get in as its all still fitted to the indy i will get a Snapon torq if i can find out the correct size

buy a Halfords pro one, that way you will be able to take it back every 3rd bolt to get it replaced foc :-( you can get to them with a grinder, at
least on the Avon we could....

The smaller sizes of Halfords ones are OK. It's the bigger ones that are poor, as the they all neck down to the same size shaft, which is weaker
than the actual drive section! I've snapped T55s a number of times - including doing up cylinder head bolts with a torque wrench, so certainly
not overdoing it.

I seem to remember (it was years ago) that the replacement bolts I got were a different size to the ones I couldn't get out.

but an angry grinder or cold chisel works better
(btw don't you mean 'torx' )

Yes, T40, after snapping 3 cheap ones, I bought a 25x dewalt (tic tac) box, they worked a treat so I still have 24 unused dewalt bits!
