oil siphon pump

Are any of those cheap £6 siphon pumps any good for changing oil?

Eg ebay : new siphon pump deluxe from seller onefancydress

I can remove the sump plug on my modified crossflow sump
as chassis rail is in the way (I didnt do the mod)

Running thinnish semi sunth oil that seems to prefer not being inside the block so will fill it with good ole castrol gtx..... which may help a tiny bit.

I can't answer your question but have just bought a Pela pump for the same purpose. I changed the oil in the MK the other day and it was miles easier than mucking about underneath and no risk of spilling oil on the new drive!

Of all the vacuum systems the Pela pumps seem to have the best reputation and being pretty simple should last well.

Mine was about £45 for the 6L model.
