sharing a map route on facebook
Call me a numpty, dinosaur or whatever, but I am having real grief here.
What I want to do is post a route for a run (as in on foot!) on a facebook page, but I can't work out how to. I use google earth for myself, but
can a route be shared? ideally interactive so people could zoom in etc to see route detail.
Happy to use a different map, but just need some pointers.
Did I say I was a numpty?
TIA
Clive

if you copy the address bar where it says www. and paste that into your post on facebook it will show the route.

There is no web address in google earth. On google maps I cant seem to plot a route more than 5k (rather too short, running 30k tomorrow!)

Sorry my mistake.
on google maps if you you left click on the start of your walk then an icon will come up, right click that icon and select directions from here.
then left click the finish of your walk, then google maps will work out the route.
looking at the route you will notice when you zoom in it is made up of dots, the ones with the white centers you can drag and make your own route.
you can then make it as long as you like see here

I find for runs / walks, the walk4life site here works well and you can link the route on facebook
etc.
