I've been using those but in 1.2mm thickness, they are superb and leave the steel with no or little fileing to clean up.
I manages to cut through some 25mm box chassis steel with no force/pressure,just the weight of the 4.5" angle grinder was enough, went like a
knife through butter

i buy these 1.2mm discs (german ones) by the box of 10 for about £12 from a local tool shop. they do go through very quick, but don't last very
long especially if trying to cut 3mm plate!
Ned.
beware, I've got yellow skin

0.8mm? wow, that's thin. I wouldn't want to try using that without a grinder stand, I imagine in my ham-fistsed torquing hold they'd
explode all over the place.
