What a gift
I did a job for a regular customer of mine and he just happened to ask if the welder he bought years ago was any use to me.
I've never been one to look a gift horse in the mouth so I readily agreed.
I've evicted all the spiders, they soon get the hint when faced with 120psi from an air line, thrown away the 15kg roll of rusty
wire, and wiped the panels down with WD40 on a rag. Blown out the liner and added a flowmeter to the reg on the original full
cylinder of 5% and fitted a new tip, rewired the 13 amp plug, 15kg of 0.6 layer wound and it was "new toy play time."
What a little gem.  I'll let the photo's do the talking.

It even came with a BOC auto head shield in pillar box red. It will match my eyes.

I had the same happen several years ago when repairing a guys burglar bars.
He said he had a broken stick welder that he wanted to dump so could he get the guys to load it on my pickup.
I'm still using it 30 years later. The wire was loose in the 15amp plug......

A few years back a common thread, about once a month, was "What grinder should I buy?"
The replies would always suggest having two, one for a grinding disc and one for the cutting disc.
This saved constant swopping over from one to the other.
At first I thought of selling one of my MIG's but then why not one set up for thin, the Migatronic 180 with 0.6 wire and 5%,
and the other, my Lincoln 210 set up for the thicker jobs which runs 0.8 and 15%. At a push this copes with 10mm plate.
I did have a look on eBay but half decent (industrial makes) just don't make any money now.
We seemed to have got used to Chinese prices. If they take the huff over this "Who are we" phone snub then we're right up the
creek.

Sadly no. That's as good as it gets.
I'm 65 in October and started my apprenticeship when I was just 16.
From now on the eyesight fails and the hands shake more with each day that passes. There's no hope for me now.
