getting BOC gas refilled :(

My bottle ran out ages ago and it's been sitting at home in the kitchen waiting patiently for me to get round to it. A friend wants me to weld up his kart race chassis that has started to fatigue/crack before he gets it blasted and repowder coated. I said no problem, but nw I can't find anywhere to get my bottle refilled that will be open when I can get there.

The only local places open at weekends don't stock the small 6" diameter bottles, only the larger ones. The places that stock the smaller bottles only open weekdays and as I commute into london have no chance of getting to them when they're open.

Only other option is local tool shop is offering rentless/outright bottles for £140 with refills at £32.95. Rent hasn't bothered me as bottle is my dad's that I'm borrowing, but if I had my own it would save the rent over a few years, but when the chassis is done I can return the bottle to my dad as hopfully I won't need it anymore!

what to do

Ned.

I'd send your mate to get it during the day from the local BOC depot -- it's his kart after all .

Cheers, Ted
