trying to find "Anti Heat Compound"

Where can I get this stuff in the UK? and more importantly is it any use.

I tried Frost.co.uk but couldn't find it, I was sure that is where I saw it.

I am going to cut out a section of my rear inner and outer arch on my Prelude and know that as I weld I am likly to distort the res of the panel. I have seen this stuff in magazines but don't know if it really works. I know that I will have to wled the outer wing in very small steps to minmise the potential damage and just thought this would be an added safety factor.

I can find it in the US - Here -> Here

Cold front.

It looks like putty.

I've welded replacement arches on several different vehicles with the mig and never had a problem that a fibre disk and a bit of filler wouldn't fix. A 1/2" tack every couple of inches is enough to secure them, just make sure they are tight down to the parent metal and it's clean.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

There's another brand of heat absorbing compound called Anti-Heat which is available in cartridges and cans. Same stuff really but I think it's Merican.
