Oval Grommet
Does anyone know where I can find a range of small oval blanking grommets (or something similar to blank an oval/rectangular hole, but which is
removeable & looks neat)?
Basically, I have a removeable gearstick (I will use an electronic gearshift, with the mechnical shift there as a backup, but I don't want it
there during normal use) and want to blank the hole on the tunnel that the stick goes through.
Thanks!

Get a normal grommet which will, when fitted, form the shape required. And then superglue a peice of inner tube across the hole thats left. Superglue
is great on rubber parts mate.

you can buy them from specialist tool shops that sell oval drills.

I've seen a demo of a drill that makes square holes... seriously!
It takes a bit of extra kit in the drill press to make it work.

Just a thought, sea kayaks have big grommets covering storage holes - probably too big, but perhaps
