this is a better compressor on paper, 3hp rather than 2 and £30 less.

The welder is gasless, ive never used one but they have a poor reputation. For a little more you could get a 'proper' one.

thanks thats really good. I want a gasless welder because I will be welding outdoors and I've read that once you get the settings right they can be good.

I got the older version of the Wolf compressor some time ago and although it's OK in most respects & gives a reasonable spray finish if you're painting, it's not up to blowing primer/filler nor is it powerful enough for most air tools. I'm actually thinking of getting another one & running the two of them together. I mention this only as I see the Transtools one is out of stock. I really should have bought a bigger one at the start.

if anyone is considering the two compressor approach, it works well. With both mine running (only 3.5hp total iirc) i can get near continous use of the die grinder and cut off tool. The latest is an aldi special.

I think its a false economy to buy a gasless mig. You should get a gas/gasless which will do both and if you don't buy a 150amp mig you will regret it later. Just my opinion.

Id stay away from gasless myself. Gas is a far better weld.

I have that Wolf compressor and although it has done what I needed it to, I wish that I had bought a bigger one in the beggining. As a welder by trade imho I would avoid the gassless and go for the gas as i find it far better to work with!
