electric impact thingy
I thought I'd just to let you know off a new toy I was given as a prezzy. It's an electric impact hammer thing that runs on 12v.
It's from halfords cos that’s what written on it, though I have seen them in other shops.
Now I have to admit, when I first saw it I thought five minutes and that'll be knackered but how wrong could I have been. It's just
unbelievable. Tried it on super tight Landy wheel nuts, took them off The bugs door hinges, took them off, Yeah! That mental rear hub nut on the
buggy, IT TOOK IT OFF!!!! No way! I was STUNNED
I put that rear nut on with my biggest Tommy bar, a length off scaffold and the wheels chocked with blocks...and it took it off in seconds with me
just holding it, awesome!
The gizmo now hangs on the wall on it own nail, I salute you Mr. electric torque thingy my new weapon against the rusty bolt!!

so when we read in the papers about t the Forth bridge collapse because someone nicked all the bolts, we'll know who it was.

I would really like to get one of these - where would a swmbo go to buy one? Can't see one in my local Halfrauds.

So, lets get this straight, a bridge built only 43 years ago (to one of those bid for it cheapest wins contracts) is knackered and the one next to it
completed in 1890, is still O.K.

Oh I bet their kicking themselves they never made it out of stainless....cheap skates!
Ridiculously short life for such a large bridge, that's as long as a wooden bridge is expected to last. Was it built by Lada???

Road bridge problem is due to some very bad gales during construction when they were feeding the galvanised wires over the river, there was a risk of
damage to the galvanising on the wires and they went with it however it now seems that the wires are corroding in the bundles and we all know what
happens when rust gets a hold!
They are trying to figure out how to replace the main support cables meanwhile they are planning to build another bridge to take the load while they
fix the original one or decide to abandon it!
The older bridge isn't too happy either. dear departed railtrack entered into a contract with a specialist coating company to replace the
continuous painting with lead heavy paint. As they went for the lowest bidder they , of course went bust and the legal fall out meant that no work at
all was done on the bridge for about 4 or 5 years during which time a lot of the coating fell off and corrosion started on several areas. At the
moment there is constant work trying to catch up with the re-coating of the structure and repairs to the worst of the corrosion damage!
