Going on a bender

On impulse, I bought a little pipe bender which might be ok for fuel lines etc. On the actuating arm there are three marks "O" "R" and "L". What would they be for ?

As usual, I can't get the insert pic to work but it's in my photo archive - sorry

O is Offset
R is Right
and L is Left

Allows you to bend in different directions i suppose?
