Drip tray
My car has a good old-fashioned x-flow engine, which has the regulation oil drips underneath.
I could make my own drip tray, but I'd much rather buy one if I can. There are some purpose-made ones available through the interwebbiethingy
but, although they're quite cheap, the P&P is often huge.
I was just wondering if anyone has come up with a cheaper and readily-available alternative...

I used the end panel off a bath that I was about to throw away. About an inch deep all around and about 2 foot square approx.

Just had a look at the Wilko site - the litter trays may be too deep. It's got to be 4" or less, total depth...

Roasting tray from an old cooker, I use it for services on my bike as well
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I have cut round a plastic 45 gallon drum about 2 inches from the bottom.
Slides inder no problem and holds a surprising amount when dropping the oil.

just cut an old 5 liter oil flask in 2 halfs lengthways leave the plug on, and use the part that has the plug on as the cat-cher makes for easy
pouring into something else also.

Think we are moving off topic here a bit, DJ was after a DRIP tray, not something for draining oil into.
Mine does both, but i have a BEC so they dont drip oil
Or have i just cursed myself now!

You could use that as a drip tray, I did when I had the xflow in.... makes for easy disposal of the "dripage" (never knew what was comming
out of that engine)
now I have the 4age the drip tray, only gets used for oilchanges,
