wrong electrodes me thinks
Just bought some electrodes for my rehmann tig and i think i've got the wrong ones, green tip 100% tungsten I've ground a point on them.
But am led to believe that green electrodes are unsuitable for DC and shouldn't be pointed, can any-one confirm if I can use them or do I have
to go and buy some more if so what do I need.

Grey tip
I use ceriated for everything, no problem. Thoriated are DC only, red tip and there are gold tip multi strike for AC/DC I think they are Lanthanated.
Thoriated are slightly radioactive.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I bought some 1.2mm ceriated and I'll happily post you one if needed as I'm probably never going to use Tig, and if I do I've got 9
more I can use.
1.2mm is a bit small probably for what you need.
