Miller Syncrowave 500 TIG welder(120191335953)

Hello All,

Anyone bidding on the above, note that this is fraudulent, and the seller is asking for payment by Moneygram.

Also, the name of the seller belongs to a Consultant at a hospital in Plymouth. I've just spoken to him, and he knows nothing of the item.

Ebay is now dealing with it.

Regards,
Syd.

PS If it had been real, I would have had the bargain of the century. Near new, and only £450.!!!!

Funny that.

I have it in my watching just to see what it makes along with all kinds of other stuff I don't want.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I don't know about a horsebox(?).

But when I asked a few questions about the welder, I got a reply saying that I could have it for £450 and he would take it off Ebay.

Next thing I get an 'Ebay' invoice, asking for immediate payment by Moneygram!

I asked for a phone number, and he says' I'm moving house, so no landline and the mobile reception is poor. Just pay the moneygram and I'll ship the item'.

I says I'll pay cash when I pick it up. He then says Moneygram only, and he'll 'post' it. 200kg's of bloody great welder! And post is free to boot!

In the Moneygram details is the sellers name and address, which turns out to be a hospital in Plymouth. I rang the hospital and asked for the named person, who turns out to be a Consultant, and was quite surprised to find out he was selling a nice welder on Ebay.

Ebay and plymouth plod are now dealing with it.

Cheers,
Syd.

It may still be there for good reasons.

Plymouth plod spoke to me earlier today, after I spoke to the consultant whose ebay account had been hacked.

The source of his (scammers)emails to me are as follows:- Received: from web26415.mail.ukl.yahoo.com Definitely not Ebay!! Although it all looked as from Ebay, with all the right logos and things.

I found the horsebox. I'll bet he wants payment via the 'moneygram', then says he'll bring it around. All sorts of reasons why you can't go and see it as well, just pay your money and all will be well.

I don't think so!

Cheers.
Syd.

"Plymouth plod are now dealing with it."

It brings a new dimension to Miller's slogan...
