My new toy....

Pic is a link

only one issue tho. the manual says to turn the gas flow to about 3 (out of 6) for welding. But it seems the co2 only starts coming out at that point..... normal?

Keep winding the gas down until the welds start to suffer, if its hissing you using to much !

I have the gas so I can barely feel it on my cheek, that's face before the smart comments

Don't forget to turn the wire feed off before you test for gas on your face

Take the gas regulator off the top as soon as you have finished welding. They are so leaky it isn't even funny. If I had my tin hat on I would say they make them bad so everytime you go to weld you have to go and buy more Gas.

I've only just started welding and it is one of the best toys (ahem) tools I have ever bought.

I bought the same welder for xmas, seems very good value for money.

I've been welding my chassis up, 1.5mm box section, and find i'm using the second from highest power setting. Does this sounds right, penetration is spot on and its not burning holes, as long as you dont dwell too long in one place.

Cheers
