OBD 2 code reader

They work very well once you get the computer settings sorted.

Very good value with the standard software and many other software applications available such as from gendan.co.uk

Look on http://www.elmelectronics.com/ to find a very detailed handbook of what the elm 327 chipset can do!

Many of my motor vehicle students have bought them for use at work and at home!

Yes I have an Elmscan interface. you can use various software with it BUT you may find that some software - vehicle combinations tend to crash.

I rarely use mine and tend to use my hand held U480 code reader more.

You might want to look at this ebay shop alpha-bid who I have found very good to deal with

http://stores.ebay.com/alpha-bid

Particularly look at the U381 and U581 code scanners.

They look very nice

Just a bit more than I wanted to spend really. If I was doing it professionally I wouldn't hesitate...

Cheers

I bought a U480 for £32 delivered a couple of days ago - I'd recommend one.
