Electrolysis

Not another how do you do it, but, can someone tell be a brand of washing soda you are using, I've aquired an old brewing bucket and thought I'd give it a try. So, I asked SWMBO to get me some washing soda at her next jaunt to the shopping centre, after an hours explaining what for she agreed.
Excited at the prospect of trying this last night, she presents me with the soda, but the caustic veriety claiming its all she could find and if I can do better...........

So can someone let me know a brand to look for .
Cheers.
Pete.

I used caustic soda the first time, works ok just make sure you wear rubber gloves and the like.

Then I found a nice little 1Kg bag in Tesco... Rescued attachment Soda Crystals.jpg

I used the same as Coozer from Tesco - around 50-odd pence per bag.

Hi

Re. electrolysis

See the front page 'most viewed threads' Electrolysis see the light.

I think it's best to treat LB as an ever evolving reference book, my advice would be to spend a while reading through threads applicable to what you are doing with your build at the moment, you will be surprised at how many answers you will find to questions you hadn't even considered asking.
