alright rick, best if you can sand off the galv back down to mild steel,80 grit
dont breath them fumes in it contains arsenic, and can give you galv fever very quickly

Galvanised panels use mig brazing.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Cos people actually believed it would "absorb" the nasties you were breathing in. As late as the mid-nineties, I got a pint of milk free
at work if I was spraying

Just like flu, you drink the milk afterwards to cure it.
The galvaneal on car panels is so thin that it is not an issue, its not like they hot dip the minibus!
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

Whenever I am welding galv with a MIG I simply stick on a p3 respirator and go for it....it does all kinds of weird things, like create kinda cotton
wool stuff that blows all over the shop and catches fire lol
