De Logo'd blacktop cam cover

I tried for ages to get the Ford and Zetec logo's off my blacktop, all with no joy.
Came across this in Halfwits. and thought I'd try it, its supposed to permiate the plastic and be permanent, some marker pens do that on plastic so I can believe it:

So have you just painted over the logos or is there a grinding/sanding type step you've missed out!?

Not having a go btw, just interested as I want to get rid of the Logos too

No grinding or sanding, just gave the whole thing a good scrub down with cellulose thiners to get any grease etc. off, gave just the logo's a quick shot of the paint as an initial cover, waited 15 minutes, then gave the whole thing a coat. As its black on black i.e. not changing colour I think its enough, and it preserves the textured finish.

Its meant for bumpers, wing mirrors etc, so should be tough enough.

Cheers.
Pete.

^^^^ yeah but neither wing mirrors nor bumpers run at temperatures of around 90 C.

it should be ok though.
