CVH Sump

Hi, can anyone tell me if the 1.8cvh requires a sump chop for the HAYNES ROADSTER ? I have just finished the engine and dont want to put the sump back on if it needs a chop, any help appreciated

I think in the Roadster Book it say's that you have to reduce the sump, level with the bottom of the gearbox. Cut down to 150 mm seems to ring a bell, may be wrong there though. Cheers Ray

In my Indy I chopped the 1.8 CVH sump by 50mm, which gave plenty of clearance.
