Flaremaster recommendation
Just been replacing some corroded brake pipes on the tin top - I had been struggling with my old brake pipe flaring tool so I invested £60 in a
Flaremaster from ebay a few weeks ago.
What a great bit of kit doddle to use under the car, perfect flares even on steel and looks like it will last for years.
Oh and I was quoted £350 by my local dealer to do the job so even if I'd paid the full retail price it would still have paid for itself by a
large margin.

Good bit of kit but not very strong . I have broken mine and know of several others that have broken them .

Agreed ....we've been through a couple of them at work, can't remember which bit fails but they do have their problems for sure

I bet they are broken by people used to using the expensive 'hold in a vice' type of tools. Probs applying too much pressure.
i doubt you will brake (pardon the spelling !) yours Mark as you will no doubt take care of it.

Wrong , the metal is a crap casting! . The parts that breaks are the lugs that the ram holder slides onto, If you look at the pictures in the link
you can see that the main body has these lugs on both sides . It is a known weak point with this tool.
