What is the correct name for this part
It's a locking washer for retaining a spring over a metal dowel. I was always under the impression they were called a spire clip but having a
search for one under that name is bringing up this type of clip.
Any ideas please? Ta

I'd have said starlock as well FWIW
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

1st pic - i used to work in a factory that used them, everyone called them dot locks for some reason - maybe a trade name. Ive always called them star
lock washers.
2nd pic - i have a bag of those. The label on front says 'semi units'. You can also get hex headed bolts that look like they have a coarse
self tapping thread that screw into them.
