I was orig. going down the route of enjoying this summer then fitting a basic turbo over winter but ive had a slight change of plan from talking to
other bec owners
Whats your thoughts on a progressive nos kit? Im not talking silly jets with 75+BHP but something that gives 25-35 in the first few gears and maybe
35-50 in the top few.
Its something Id want just on occassion as the 918 blade is somewhat lacking (for me). Amazing round corners etc just want more go off the line upto
err motorway speeds
Anyone used MB customs for this?
i fitted a nos kit to my old scooby doo, best mod i ever done...
took the morning to install and made an amazing difference...the progression wasnt gear related though, it just bled in gradually...up to 50hp...
i used it without the progression and a straight shot of 75 and it was immense....
got my standard ish scoob into the 11sec 1/4 barrier....
i would fit it to my kit but you cant use it in hillclimbs and sprints....
Sounds good to me.. going over the magic 200bhp figure
just been on phone to MB customs. Can get booked in for early june.
Ive had one on a car years back and did that myself but ended up blowing the turbo after about 20k I was young and trigger happy though
My old blade lump probably only pushes 110-115 at the rears so id have thought 40 odd would be quite noticeable
I just dont want to spend upto £1k for something that 1. doesnt really work too well on a kitcar/bike engine or 2. have to replace the lump after 500
miles
just curious really... how much is the NOS gas? and where do you get it from?
speak to the wizard of nos guys, they know what they are doing and they are the ONLY people i would give my money to
I can recommend Malc of MB Customs...
He's a top bloke with advice/work etc and def knows his shizzle when it comes to turbos and making a bike engine go quicker!

Appreciate the advise guys. Heard before that the kit your saying was good quality but forget the brand. will google now
this is the kit i used and the supplyer
nos kit
a very easy kit to install and great quality solonoids....
if you go turbo later you can use the purge as a intercooler spray...
This is locost builder. Don't buy a kit, build your own

Will you post up the results once it's done? This is something I've thought about doing to our engine as well for the very same reasons as you. I'd love to turbo charge it but just don't have the budget to do it currently.
Lee runs one in his kit, with a turbo and an r1 engine. Maximillion is his username - or similar.
I like the idea of a progressive system that allows gradual increase, rather than a shove in the back, it kicking in mid corner is bound to upset
stuff.
Interesting.
