What figures should go on the IVA form for Bhp and Rpm for my 2005 R1??
Cheers
Dave
They don't want to know the BHP, just the revs at which it makes max BHP. They only use it to work out the revs at which to do the noise test
(3/4 of max BHP RPM). If you don't give them a figure they'll test it at 2/3 max RPM.
So tell them it's 12000 and they'll test noise at 9000rpm, tell them 10000 and it'll be noise tested at 7500. So obviously the lower
you put the easier the noise test is to pass. Push your declaration to far and they'll know it.
Think I put 11500 and they were happy with that, though an 04-06 5vy officially makes 180bhp @ 12500rpm.
180bhp @ 12500rpm
I wish mine would...
