Is there such a thing as a trackrod for MK2 escort rack with longer threaded part I don't seem to have a lot of threads inside mine on my F27 cheers Keith

not that I am aware of.

I had this on my plan built F27 chassis - solved by fitting track rod extensions which involved shortening the track rods by about 10 mm; plus selection of shorter track rod ends - these do vary according to manufacturer.

Note that the Ford rods have rolled threads so the track rod diameter is actually less than that of the threaded part so you cannot extend the threead.

I fitted RD quick rack; this has 14 mm rods but the thread cannot be extended due to them being hardened.

I seem to be having the same issues, but only on the one side

I have tried to ensure the rack is dead-centre, but, whilst I am using an extension on the driver's side rod, I do not have enough room to fit one on the passenger side, so I was thinking of shortening that one to allow an extension to fit?

My wishbones are fine (exactly the same length and mounting spacing etc, I'm guessing my rack is still slightly off-centre?
