Galleto chip tunning?

Hi guys, been looking at these on ebay

does anyone have any experience with these? or has anyone bought it? also been looking at the kwp2000+ also on ebay, do they actually work, i was after the kwp2000 to read engine faults etc.
any ideas?

Programming the car is not the tricky part, the tricky part is having the right files to put in it, and if you want to make your own you need to know what maps to change and have the right checksums so the car won't reject the file.

I would suggest that you get what you pay for in that department and you risk turning your car into a big paperweight and having to have it towed to your dealer for reprogramming or even a new ECU.

Market rate for a chip tune on a modern diesel is in the 400-600 quid region from the more reputable companies who have the backup in place if something goes wrong.
