OT Outlook 2007 - view mail before loading from ISP

Does anybody know how to set up Outlook 2007 to view the mail at your ISP and possibly then select order that it's downloaded or whether to download it at all. Have tried Googling with no luck.

Another way round it is install K9 and let it do the spam/rubbish filtering in addition to the basian filter if you setup to use black lists and white lists and lists from Spamhaus or other black hole lists once trained it is in my experience something like 99.99% efficient at stoping rubish or other stuff you don't want.

You can then set filters in Outlook (or other email program) not to download the rubbish that k9 tags.

Hey, your isp should have a step by step for setting up IMAP.

If not here is one for gmail which i just found through google.

IMAP and Gmail

But you'll have to replace the gmail specific stuff with that of your isp (providing they support it).

Thanks - that's exactly what I'm looking for as I get many large (normally not urgent) business emails and when travelling with only GPRS connectivity I would like to be able to select when the large ones get downloaded.
