Anybody suggest a free downloadable record / edit software ? Just been to Computerworld but theirs (Audioforge ? )is one user only and I want it on
two machines.

someone on here suggested to me "audacity" and for my modest needs it's perfect..
and it's free.
I'll second Audacity

as above. id recommend audacity. its free, and its got quite a few tools, and functions
Schools use Audacity - but it doesn't export as MP3 without a plugin...

Another vote for Audacity ----
you could illegally download adobe audition and use it on as many computers as you like... that'd be free.
But I wouldn't recommend doing that as you'll get in trouble....
I've heard good things about audacity but never used it
Many thanks. I'll have a look for it.
Just to be different I'd recommend Goldwave... Supports MP3 as standard.
I use wavelab essential
top piece of kit easy to use and cheap.
dont know if its still around as i bought it a while back.
