I've used http://www.laptopbits.co.uk for batteries before but I checked for yours and it's silly money!

All the best

Older laptops are a mission to get working properly...

I ended up buying a 12V power supply that plugs into the car.... means I can run the laptop all day long provided the alternator keeeps the battery charged up.. Maplins sell them!

Your telling me!

Been trying to get the dell to connect to our wireless network, its running win2K , both the other laptops in the house (vista & win XP) work fine with the wireless and connect to the net OK (wireless is encrypted) the win 2K lappy has a PCMCIA wireless card that uses a seperate piece of software to connect to the router it appears to connect and accepts the encryption key but i cant conect to the net or see the win2K lappy on the router via the browser log in on the vista machine.......

Any ideas....

Probably the lappy is too old to understand the level of encryption being used. try reducing from WPA to WEP

I need to get the wireless working on the lappy before i replace the battery.

My wireless card says its OK for WPA encryption, do you think its a win2K thing?
