Posted my carbs on there, as no one here wanted them, stating UK Only, and the first bid is from someone in the Ukraine!!
Arrrggghhhhh Rant over.
Sayin UK only means NOTHING, you have to find your sellers preferences page and tick the box that actually stops non uk people bidding. Aren't
ebay nice and transparent
Also in the preferences you can limit who can bid, such as people with under X feedback. Worth tracking down and re-setting them. But the changes only
take effect on NEW listed auctions, it won't update your current ones
have a look at this link, it should point you to the right place
http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/buyer-requirements.html
find out how much it would cost to post to the ukraine with insurance! it will soon put them off!
Why UK-only? I have ordered various items from UK. Payment via paypal. I don't understand your concerns.
btw: I am based in Holland.
Because the choice of shipper is limitted, it is very expensive, I dont have time to keep taking it for postal price estimates, and people argue about the price, so it is not worth the hassle in my view, I would rather not sell it than risk it.

I listed a 45 foot articulated fridge trailer for a friend.
The 1st bid also from Ukraine. When I asked if he was serious he replied yes, and that he would pay cash on collection the following week. When auction ended he then asked for bank account details/numbers to do a cash transfer. Obviously we didn't furnish him with that sort of info, and we never heard from him again!!!
r1_pete - 7/8/09 at 02:28 PMYep sold is sold, its the price of the postage I've had people query and hassle me about.
r1_pete - 7/8/09 at 02:31 PMCheers Norm, looking back this guy has bought other carbs like mine, so he's perhaps genuine, but I honestly don't need the pain, 2 DCOE type carbs, a manifold and other bits add up.
Jasper - 7/8/09 at 03:11 PMAnd if you post abroad and it's disputed - for insatnce he claims it's not right or damaged - you've got a whole lot more hassle and expense sorting it out, I never sell stuff abroad.
