So he's the thing, I use Firefox and recently had to change my Ebay password. Now Firefox always remembers the old one, and new asks to remember the new one, which is a pain. Is there any way I can get it to forget the old one and remember the new one, without loosing all my other passwords?
I have the same problem but with internet explorer. My firefox just asked me if I wanted to change the remembered password when I entered the new one
- which I did and it's fine.
Internet explorer won't understand that I have changed the password and won't remember the new one so Now I have to enter it every time on
IE.
Yeah - that's what I don't get, Firefox usually ask you if it notices the password has change, but it doesn't do it with Ebay . grrrrrr
Firefox varies a bit between version and operating systems usually if you got into the "Edit" tab, then select
"Preferences" , then select "Security" then "Saved Passwords" you can delete paswords.

Or tools>options, if that fails.
I use a gizmo now called password safe to remember my passwords.
Having lost a hard disk or two in my time I then save the encrypted password to a number of devices including my phone.
Make life a lot easier and you only change the password in one place.
http://passwordsafe.sourceforge.net/
You can use it to generate random password too that adhere for strong rules so they are more secure and less prone to brute force attacks.
Since you never have to type it in, (double click here - paste there) you never have to worry what it looks like either.

Sounds like someone's clicked to never save passwords (something really annoying when I shared a pc).
On the Firefox I have go to Tools>options>Security and there's a tickbox which says "remember passwords"
Check if that one's ticked
