if a compo is hard wired to the interweb via the BT phone line, can you use a phone doubler and use 2 compo,s on the same line?

Are you talking about a dialup connection or a broadband enabled phoneline?

If its dialup, then NO... if its a broadband connection, then possibly.. assuming you have multiple channels enabled on the line....

The normal way of achieving this is to network both computers together so they share a single internet connection... Unless for some reason you wanted multiple IPs

Wireless router everytime. Cheap as chips now and dead easy to setup

If your on broadband then your current router may be capable of a wired connection already? The wireless router that came with my contract also had four wired connections from the back of it!

wired connections are much more reliable than wireless

If your using a broadband modem change it out for a router then use a couple of patch leads to hardwire both into the router.
