I've just downloaded rFactor to try to use it to learn tracks before track days. Although the website says it's a limited time free trial with no other limits, I can't seem to use anything other than one particular car and track. I've tried selecting other tracks and cars but as soon as I go to "test session" and start the game it loads a default tracka nd car.

ANy idea why? Is it a Win 7 issue?

Long time since i played but i think you have to complete the races to get new tracks, cars

Solved. Have to run as administrator.

Have to say the I still love rFactor over and above anything I own on the 360/ps2/ps3, has a good feel to it and lots of free mods too
